Elektronika B3-54

One of the prime sources for information about Soviet calculators is the many books about programming the machines. In fact, many of these machines are known only from references in these books, and the Elektronika B3-54 is one such machine. From the translation below, it is apparent that this machine really existed. Thanks to Sergei Frolov for help with the translation!

Programmed calculators of the "Elektronika MK-54" series

This set includes mass produced calculators Elektronika B3-34, Elektronika B3-54, Elektronika MK-56. These calculators are characterized by minimum structure of an extending number - in the system trunk two microcomputers K145IK13 (K745IK13) and two register RAM K142IR2 are included. Each block of the RAM of these calculators contains n - 14 pages, that correspond to 14 registers of data memory with addresses from 0 up to D and 14 pages of program memory with 98 program words (8-bit) with addresses from 00 up to 97. First in this series, by date, the calculator Elektronika B3-34 was assembled on chips of a series K145 in shell body similar to the calculator B3-21. It is supplied with the off-line power supply as the battery of accumulators D0.55C, and charged from a removable power supply unit D2-10. In all other pocket calculators of an extending number (including the released small series the calculator Elektronika B3-54 in body similar to tank of the calculator Elektronika B3-34) the primary source of power is the battery of type 316, and in stationary conditions the removable power supply units are used.
