This particular calculator was probably manufactured in a military factory

Calculation errors are is indicated by lowercase n symbol occupying top segments left hand digit of display.
Display flashes briefly on press of any key.
Many functions (sin/cos/log, etc.) take approximately 1 second to calculate, during which time the display is blank.
Amazingly, this calculator only has a numeric range of plus/minus/- 99999999 (how many other scientific non-exponential display calculators are there?!)
Manual contains a circuit diagram foldout on the back page, and has a purchase datestamp 6.12.90

Two colour variations are known; red/grey/yellow as shown here, and black/grey/black

Circuit diagram from manual

The back of the box says that the calc was made in Ulianovsk, USSR. The city was named after Lenin, whose surname was Ulianov. Also the calc was bought on Dec. 6 1990. OTK7.2 is like a quality inspection stamp, meaning the calculator passed quality control (OTK means "technical checking department").
