MK-44

"This is an "advanced" version of MK-42, the keyboard layout is different and there are two data registers (strange, there are buttons CM1/CM2, M1+/M2+, M1-/M2-, but there are no MR1 and MR2; instead I see x->M and M->x. Who knows, maybe the owner replaced the keys; the font on them looks authentic though). 44 also has two switches : instead of "4/5" on 42 there is "(empty)-AP" (Automatic Memory - when pressing '=' key, sum of results automatically accumulate in memory register) ) and "PL-2-4" (probably the number of digits after a point; PL might mean floating point (plavajuschaja tochka)) "

backplate #2

There are two main variants of this machine, white and black. The white version may have been available in East Germany, hence the lack of price marking on its backplate.
