This machine came to me from Kirill, in Russia. It was first reported to me on 14th October 1999 - and arrived on my doorstep on 12th February 2000. This 4 month delay is typical of the purchase/delivery cycle. This is why getting a box on the doorstep, from Russia, is so exciting!

Elektronika MK-91

Currently, the MK-91 shown here is the only one in captivity. The serial number is 0565, possibly implying a low production run.

The machine is quite curious. It is intended as a desktop machine, having a fold-out 'leg' at the back. But at 18.5cm (w) x 17.5cm x 2.0cm it is a rather weird shape. Interestingly, the machine never switches off. Also, commas between thousand positions are displayed above the digits. Thus, 32768 would display as 32'768.

MK-91 matchbox
It's rather a large, flat beast.
