NBTVA Convention 2012

Postby Steve Anderson » Tue Jan 10, 2012 9:28 pm

Dear All,

I've just had an e-mail from Jeremy Jago as follows...

Hello and Happy New Year,

To settle the NBTVA Convention date as soon as possible must be ideal.

For the last few years we've used the first Saturday in April. This year the first Saturday falls in Easter, best avoided. How are you all set for the following Saturday - that is April 14th? And does this clash with any other relevant event you're aware of?

Looking forward to hearing from you

Jeremy

Comments please...which I will forward el-rapido to Jeremy...

Although other issues may prevent me from attending the convention this year (regardless of date), Saturday 14th April is clear for me at present.

14 of April is very good, better than the Easter weekend.

Indeed, Jeremy wanted to avoid the Easter weekend for all number of reasons. Those that want to and can attend and also have his e-mail please get in touch with Jeremy directly. If you don't have his e-mail, either send me a PM or an e-mail and I'll forward it on...

It was smaller than in the past, but very interesting again! The three sensation were of course Peter Smith' mirrorscrew, which gave excellent pictures, two very well working colour televisors, one of them, for 90% made of old computer parts, using only 3 LEDs with a very good picture. And the third sensation was the presence of Karen, she had a big bunch of wonderful things with here, everything we read about in the past 12 month. The "mirror-screw-disc" works far better than expected. Unfortunally it is very dificult to make photos of the picture.

Here is a small selection of pictures I've made. I've also made some films, but I have to cut them first before I can publish them.

Hi DR Z thanks a million for the photos its wonderful seeing the displays ! can not wait for the videos ..what would we do with out you each year !
The electromagnetic spectrum has no theoretical limit at either end. If all the mass/energy in the Universe is considered a 'limit', then that would be the only real theoretical limit to the maximum frequency attainable.

Gary I thought you might be intrested. The screen shot of the disc colour
video of the BBC2 test card is from your two colour video to NBTV that you kindley altered for me Graham Hunt
