I'm not a lab assistant!

Postby Viewmaster » Tue Apr 24, 2007 1:34 am

Why does this forum name heading list me as a lab assistant?....I retired years ago!

Occupations.

Postby Stephen » Tue Apr 24, 2007 1:57 am

I believe that the number of your postings on the forum determines your "occupation". You shall find that your occupation changes from time to time as you post additional messages. For instance, I am a former electrical engineer and not a scientist, although I would acknowledge that I am somewhat mad.

Ones' 'rank'.

Gents,

I noticed too that recently I was 'promoted' from Laboratory Assistant to Research Scientist. I would prefer that my occupation was put there as is in my profile which I feel is far more accurate.

Another promotion...

Gents,

Seems like my brewing skills have at long last been recognised and I have been promoted to Master Craftsman!! Anyone fancy a pint of Scruttocks Old Dirigible?

P.S. Only those who are English would probably understand the above.

Mad Scientist.

Postby Steve Anderson » Fri Apr 27, 2007 2:42 pm

Having been yet again promoted to Mad Scientist I feel it appropriate that I join the following society...

Must rush out and buy a white lab-coat....and cancel my appointment with the barber...

With all these mad scientists around I feel that I am in the middle of
"Metropolis".....now excerpts from that old German film by, Fritz Lang, might look good in NBTV.

Metropolis, good idea "Rotwang" would have been a good nickname, too.
So I took "Dr.Zarkov" from "Flash Gordon", unfortunally from 1936, so a little bit too late for mechanical TV.

Promotion.

Postby Steve Anderson » Fri Apr 27, 2007 10:03 pm

Having been promoted to the lofty status of 'Mad Scientist', I felt it only appropriate to have an assistant, out of the thousands of applicants here's the one I chose...up to the task do you think?

Evil genius.

Postby Steve Anderson » Thu May 17, 2007 8:02 pm

Having been promoted to the status of Evil Genius, I've changed my Avatar to the one I wish most to emulate....and hold the world to ransom for 'One Million Dollars!!

(Dr. Evil/Austin Powers).

Just wish I could find my Mojo....

Having broken the 200 post barrier I was hoping for a promotion from 'Evil Genius' to something like 'Deranged Despot' or 'Clinically Insane'. Oh well.
