Gary, hopefully the new icons work better for you. Let me know if they're still hard to see. We'll find something that works!

Thanks for that Andrew, I will let you know once someone posts something - because I responded to the email notification of your post I came in via it's link instead of the normal way and so missed seeing if your post was highlighted.

Cheers.

Recently, there have been a boost of new members. I may be a new member myself, but i have noticed that recently there have been new members that have website links to porno sites. most of their profiles to have a lot of profanity. something needs to be done about all of these profane members.
Fun times, ain't it?

Every now and then we get an influx of this sort of thing. Thanks for reporting it.
I have changed the security question and deleted a few dozen 'members' who have joined in the last few days.
I've also cleaned up the inappropriate posts that I have spotted.
Would actually like to physically damage the people who do these sorts of things...
Cheers

Indeed, in the past week I have deleted maybe 30 new 'members'. A large percentage are in what appears to be in the Russian language or totally inappropriate, though I haven't noticed any that were profane. Others were links to on-line pharmacies and the like.

Thank you for resolving the "issues". But, relating to what Steve had said, there are a quite a bit more spam profiles relating to online pharmacies and even one "fetish" shop.
Fun times, ain't it?

Oh yes, even though I've deleted these morons in the Admin Control Panel they're still present in the Memberslist. I can't see a way to eradicate them.

I've found a way called 'Prune Users' in the Admin Control Panel...sounds painful, I wish it were for these low-life individuals.

I'm a bit concerned that things have gone awfully quiet here since I appear to have got rid of a bunch of...err...idiots.

If anyone is having problems posting or generally accessing this board please send me an e-mail. My address is on the 'other' website...you know where I mean (I hope).

It's possible that these individuals may have done something. I had to restore my Mod status and delete my messages as they were requiring approval. All is OK now for me it seems, and nothing else seems to be missing.

Thanks Andrew, I wanted to write something similar, but was afraid the PC police might get me. I must have thought I was still at University.
