10 years old!

Postby Andrew Davie » Sun Jan 29, 2017 11:44 pm

Looks like the forum has been going for 10 years now. I joined on January 24, 2007.
So, well done everyone for keeping things going :)

Wasn't that just the date of a software-update? I'm also here now for almost 10 years, but when I've joined, there were already a lot of postings.

Dr Z - maybe it was very busy between 24th January and 19th February!

By the way, I hadn't realised it was only one month old when I joined.

The electromagnetic spectrum has no theoretical limit at either end. If all the mass/energy in the Universe is considered a 'limit', then that would be the only real theoretical limit to the maximum frequency attainable.

Agreed, word seemed to spread fast about this forum in those early days. I'm fairly sure it was 'Ancient Brit' that made me aware of its presence - so you can blame him! I joined March 30th 2007. How 'Ancient Brit' and I met outside this forum I have no recollection.

Hi Steve,

Yep it was me. No, I can't remember how I originally came across your name though.
Was it an article by you in the newsletter perhaps?

It's been a very productive 10 years on the forum.

The collaboration amongst members has produced many interesting projects.

I'm grateful too for Andrew for hosting the forum, can't be cheap. Thanks.

Kind regards,

Graham

Priceless! :)
Just made a backup, because it's such valuable information and would be a shame if something happened.
