Thanks, Pete! This fellow is on the right track, but he needs to join the new Non-electric Television Chapter of the NBTVA and dispense with the electrical components entirely. I shall have to contact him and point him to the non-electric thread of the forum.

Well that's a first.

I knew a guy who made a steam powered gramophone, but I'd never seen a steam powered televisor.
