.

Since the start of the forum i have seen a lot of quality photographies, but i still keep in mind the photo of Alan Rosser's Televisor.
http://www.taswegian.com/NBTV/images/rosser.png
This splendid, perfect finished set will stay for many years a collectors item.( I wonder how he made the "Televisor" sign....)

Moast NBTV and forum members have something. NBTV of related, in their possesion that can make subject of a nice picture to post here.
An original Baird part, a neon lamp, a mirror screw, a rheostat, a book and a few lines comment by the proud owner, can make the pleasure of the forum vieuwers.

Denis, your replicas need not to hide behind Alan's indeed very beautyful Televisor. They are also made with a lot of love for the detail. My respect to both of you!

Glassware.

Postby Steve Anderson » Wed Jun 27, 2007 3:11 pm

For those into glassware in a big way (as I am) here's a couple of links that might be useful if you don't already have them....

http://www.valve-museum.org/

http://www.tubecollector.org/

Although I have a reasonable amount of glassware here, none of it is from the 20s.

For those into CRTs (me again) here's another...

If you need data for tubes, this is one of the best...click 'links' for a whole pile more!...

Thanks , Steve, for the precious information links.
So, you are into Glasware? Special for you, altough it is not directly related to NBTV, a picture of a MONOSCOPE tube. The test pattern is from "Television Belge" "Experimentale".(appr.1953)-

Telehor,

re Monoscope.

Much better to look at than an EPROM!

Yep, can't say mine would fill even one of those stands! Someone has a lot of time, money and space!

Would love to get my hands on a operational monoscope, but just like vidicons and other camera tubes, it's hard to get the deflection and focus coils as well as bases for them unless you come across an almost complete camera.

However, members of the BATC frequently restore old broadcast cameras to operational condition, so the parts must be out there somewhere.

Yesterday a friend of mine told me that the WDR (the west german broadcasting corporation) sells from time to time used equipment and that he has bought there many things. I just have to find out, when and where I can go for shopping. :D

As I understood it is a mirror-screw scanner? It looks very elegant and tiny compared to a mirror drum oder the TeKaDe mirrorscrew. Do you have more information about this device?
