Universal pattern generator

After building my Nipkow tv (32lines 12,5frames) earlier this year. Now finally made a good disk. Electronics are no problem here, but making mechanics with precision are.

To make things easy and maybe help other amateurs, I planning to make a universal pattern generator. Unless they exist apart from the software (pc) solutions(s). I was not able to find a design, so I make one myself. Can anyone give me advice concerning the number of lines and frames. For now I have a design that covers 10-30 frames, 10-100 lines normal or interlaced and with adjustable V sync (negative or missing sync) What do you like to see and is missing? Thanks in advanceā€¦

Thanks for replay, sorry for the delay. Design and build of a universal pattern generator is finished. On this moment I am making a video (Youtube) about this generator. Do not see possibility here to ad a foto. The generator will deliver several patterns on 5 to 30 frames and 10 to 70 lines. All inter synchronized, so all mix's are available. Build with 'standard' components. video will be on line within a week or so.

Just below the box where you enter your posting text there's a tab marked 'Upload attachment', scroll down a little, click that and follow the prompts, most photo formats are supported.

It's best to keep them less than 1000 pixels wide otherwise some users may have to download them to view instead of seeing them in-line. For re-sizing photos to fit I use Irfanview, a free simple photo viewer with some simple editing tools, resize, crop, and so on. Nowhere as powerful as Photoshop, but it doesn't need to be for just this.

Not sure if it has Mac or Linux versions. I just had a look - it doesn't appear to have Mac or Linux versions...there surely are others for those platforms...

Note: Maximum attachment file-size on this forum is 20MB per file...
