I went out to the local sawmill, and had them cut me a decent piece of oak. I resized the legs I had designed, since the ones I had were grossly undersized. I printed them, and painted them with a product called a "Decorative Paint Pen" which comes with a wood tip. I still need to put the molding around the edges of the board, but other than that, it has come out nicely.
