Although not a ham anymore, (was once G1CLW in the UK some 25 years ago), here are a couple of links worth looking at..

Firstly...

http://www.hanssummers.com/home.html

A guy really into simple Amateur Radio, back to the roots really...but he does venture into modes like QRSS...don't know what is...check it out...but I might have gotten him hooked on NBTV...time will tell...and he has now added a NBTV section to his site which can only but help promote NBTV and this forum..

http://www.hanssummers.com/nbtv.html

....and he gave me the following link that fascinated me for two days...if you like mechanical things with a blend of simple electronics, this is for you...

http://www.nonstopsystems.com/radio/fra ... o_home.htm

Click "My Operating Modes" in the left column, then "Hellschreiber"....You'll note that our own Klaas Robers has quite an input to the site as you wander around it. Don't blame me if you spend far too long there, I did!

Gah! how am I meant to get any work done if you send me off looking at more things to play with!

Brilliant sites and excellent diagrams of the Hellschriber. I particularly like the way the printing is done - a bit like a mirror screw!
