JLB Article WW 1976-01

I'm not sure if this has been circulated before, my apologies if it has.

It's extracted from a well-known but sadly now dead UK magazine. I downloaded the entire magazine and made a pdf out of the appropriate pages.

Over the past few weeks I've been sifting through back copies of WW and collected this little lot that I hope will be of interest here.

Some are mechanical TV, some electronic TV, some not TV at all but have mechanical elements - e.g. 'The Speaking Clock'.

There were other items which where rather specialized, like TV IF strips, probably few interested so I haven't included them, (bet I'm proven wrong!). In other issues pages were missing where someone had torn out the very article I wanted! Morons!

Good bed-time reading material...the first 12...

...in no particular order either, except the PC sorted them alphabetically...

The remainder...

If you've come to this page first, there are three more above with another 36 items posted here around the same time.

More may crop up in the future...

Good finds there Steve i can see you have been doing some reading !
I was going to post this up on what i heard on 3aw Am station down here the other day ,had a show on peoples antiques and what they might be worth bit hard i though via the descriptions only ! but any way one fella came on saying he had the document from John logie Baird to the Australian government of the day trying to sell the rights to Television to us back then ...had no idea where to go to sell it ,,,they seemed interested in it but were not sure price for something like that ,they did say it should be taken to a museum.

The electromagnetic spectrum has no theoretical limit at either end. If all the mass/energy in the Universe is considered a 'limit', then that would be the only real theoretical limit to the maximum frequency attainable.

You're welcome guys. I've only gone back as far as 1930, there may be some in the '20s, I'll have a sift through them soon.

Not only was I looking for items relevant here, but also other interests, interesting to note that although WW covered general Radio Amateur items quite extensively, I haven't found one connected to SSTV!...in all those years from 1930 to 1986 when it ceased.
