Phono preamp problem

Postby holtzman » Sat Oct 30, 2010 6:41 am

Hello dear friends,
anybody could help me with the phono riaa curve preamp circuit?
I used shematics of unknown origin and can't figure out why it doesn't work. Maybe some components are defective, but as no one of 2 amps I soldered works, I think there is some mistake in schematics.
Please see the attached diagram - do you see any problems with it?
Many thanks in advance!
P.S. When i accidentally touched by hand 2 points marked red, the amp worked for a second normally then silenced. This happened each time I touch the circuit this way.

It may be unstable. They don't show any supply bypassing...it's usually implied. Layout with something like this is important too. Do you have access to a scope?

Thank you Steve!

I solved the problem today by adding a resistor... Works good.
