I was looking into the very thin small fluoros scrapped from lap tops and printer scanners they are easy to power as they all come with little inverters ...something i would liked to worked out a while back as i could of made a much smaller power supply for my camera just useing a tiny scrapped inverter...so take note if you have a crt or vidicon or something else that needs a voltage over a 1000 volts .....and or below you can get a wide range of high voltages via variable regulator connected to it .

The very thin fluros look like they would be just right for a mirror screw perhaps just using the step up transformer from the inverter and using an amp circuit to the primary get this little bugger to do some long thin NBTV light for a mirror screw project ..
