There's a prog coming up on BBC2 (UK) Thurs 14th Feb that maybe worth watching.

2100-2200, 'The Genius of Invention' this week is covering photography, cinema and television.

Not sure if they'll put it on BBC iplayer for catch-up viewing,

Cheers,

Graham

oops, isn't that the same item as here?:

BTW I am not sure if it is obvious to UK based members that the BBC iPlayer "catch up" facility isn't available to those out side the UK - a small point that is, of course, only relevant to those outside the UK. :-(

There is supposed to be a way around the restriction by using a proxy situated in the zone of interest such that the site is fooled into thinking the request is from within the zone. I personally have never been able to get this to work. If anyone has they may want to share the trick?

One workaround is this website: http://www.shadownet.ro/channels.php
They stream BBC (and many more channels). The more popular a programme, the better the quality. I used to watch "Torchwood" on an US-channel, because the last season was a couple of days earlier in the USA than in the UK, and the time (early saturday morning in Germany) was better for a working man like me than late night on a Thursday on BBC 3.

Gary,

Quite right, dup posting!!

Really I should read existing posts before I raise a new topic.
It's my age you know.

Cheers,

Graham

To save confusion, I'll close this thread to keep all further discussion in the existing thread.
