405-line enthusiast?

Your attention is drawn to THIS THREAD on the UK Vintage Radio Board.

It now seems there are quite a few more modern-day operators of 405-line television sets than had been thought. Mainly this is in the UK of course, but already somebody in Australia has owned up!

If you run one or more working 405-line receivers, we want to hear about it. Also, how do you lay on the 405-line signal? A post either here or there will do. A rough guide as to your location will be appreciated.

Many thanks,

I'm jealous with your 405 system. In Germany there are many sets from the 1950s in use, our luck we had 625 lines since 1952. Pre-war 441 line sets are practically non existent. I know some collectors here in Germany with working 405 line sets, for example Rainer Berkenhoff from Datteln hat a working Marconi 707 and of course a Bush TV 22.
