He contacted me and requested that he be removed from the forum ASAP.
I don't know anything more.

That's sad he has gone. He was very helpful to all.
As he requested to leave as soon as possible and web site down I am at a loss
as to what has happened.
Hope there is more news soon and that he is OK.

All members are valuable, but that makes at least the third member we've lost. Chris Long, then Karen Orton and now Gary Millard. What's going on?

Time is a precious commodity and maybe some simply run out of it due to other factors, but in these three cases that doesn't appear to be the reason. If time pressure was the reason I would have assumed they'd just fall silent rather than request deletion and perhaps reappear in the future...

There was a time where I fell silent for several months simply due to other factors, but I didn't request deletion. So something triggered their requests for removal. In the cases of Chris and Karen that's a known factor (yet different) in both cases which I'm not going to go into here. In this case, Gary, I have no idea, and really it's none of my business, he has his reasons, so be it. Best to leave it there.
