The electromagnetic spectrum has no theoretical limit at either end. If all the mass/energy in the Universe is considered a 'limit', then that would be the only real theoretical limit to the maximum frequency attainable.

A couldn't stop being stupefied all the way though that video, my wife often says, "Steve, you need your bumps felt." (I'm somewhat eccentric). Or, "You've got too much time on your hands." But this guy takes the biscuit!

Kudos to the guy, I wouldn't even consider taking on a challenge like that! Why did he do it? Because he can - and then proved it.

I wonder how much heater power it required?

He's done quite a lot of 'similar themed' videos too...Google or YouTube Usagi Electric...by the way, his hair looks like mine early morning!

Its a totally useless in the real world but to show a working version can be done with Vacuum tubes is pretty interesting ..Yes a lot of Tubes there !,hell of a power supply but then again i have noticed these computer or flip flop valve projects they run the valves on a lower voltage the 201A plate voltage is 45 volts very old tube .
Wonder if you can call this tube 555 a tube IC ?

This topic brings to mind this little digital clock project:
Digital Nixie Tube Clock by Friedhelm Bruegmann
