Happy birthday, Nipkow-disc!

Postby DrZarkov » Mon Jan 06, 2014 1:47 am

Paul Nipkow has invented his aperture-disc on christmas eve in 1883. Tomorow (6th of January) 130 years ago Nipkow went to the patent office in Berlin. So tomorrow it will be the official 130st birthday of television! Hurrah! Ein Prosit auf Paul und seine Lochscheibe :D

Happy birthday Nipkows wonderful idea ..if he made it or not he lived to know he's idea worked with a bit more electronics.....

Wonder if Baird ever spoke to him ?
The electromagnetic spectrum has no theoretical limit at either end. If all the mass/energy in the Universe is considered a 'limit', then that would be the only real theoretical limit to the maximum frequency attainable.
