WANTED: The Dawn of Television CD

Postby Andrew Davie » Fri May 12, 2017 8:45 pm

Hi All. I'm unable to find my copy of "The Dawn of Television CD" on which are copies of the restorations of the early Baird recordings and off-air BBC broadcasts with Betty Bolton, etc. I'd dearly like to find a copy, so if you have one you'll sell or know where I can find one please let me know.

Small subsections of the restored recordings are avaialble as animating GIF files. Another small portion is on YouTube. However, the CD contains the full-length restorations as video and also the original sound recordings. The CD is a goldmine of information and highly worth pursuing. It seems to be no longer available, alas.

There is a CD offered on Don's website though it's not a full e-commerce site. Why not contact him via his website and ask.

I am moving house, and have just found my copy. Still shrink-wrapped. I guess it's worth about US$20 + postage to me.
I'm in Tasmania.

Postage + package = AUS$13.20
Which is about $US10 so make it US$30 all up.

Sorry for the delay. I am packing up the house for a move and I lost the item.
But, now, I have re-found it so it's ready to send. PayPal works for me - I have sent you the address via email.
