Even though the JavaSlide applet has been continuously online for 10 years without issues, Sun has questioned the legality of the continued use of the name 'JavaSlide', and even the correctness of my grammar. Given that this is (or rather, was) a freely available, non-commercial, educational and not-for-profit applet assisting in the learning of the use of slide rules, I'm rather at a loss to understand their position on this.
However, I have better fights to fight so JavaSlide is no more.
My 'UniVirtual' slide rule applet still suffers from some of the grammar errors that Sun so hates -- but at least it does not use a name that they may dislike, in the legal sense. Please redirect your links to the UniVirtual Slide Rule.
