NBTV Newsletter.

Postby acl » Fri Nov 25, 2022 7:37 am

We have been experiencing postal delays in various countries including the UK through no fault of our own or the printers. To be fair we have decided in future to email all members with the electronic pdf version simultaneously then members who have opted for the paper version will still receive their excellently printed version through the usual postal system in due course. It is always nice to see the printed version appearing on the doormat. In order to do this, members need to ensure the membership coordinator Dave Gentle has your current valid email address.

Thank you for that suggestion. It sounds an excellent idea.

NBTV Newsletter.

Postby acl » Tue Mar 07, 2023 2:36 am

Hi there there Mark.

The latest electronic version of the newsletter (Vol 45 No 2) arrived this morning in my inbox. I am just awaiting the latest revised members database then I can circulate. As outlined on the WEB site due to industrial action and problems with customs we are distributing all paid up members with valid email addresses with a PDF version of the newsletter this week and printed versions will follow in due course to members requesting a printed version.

A newsletter can only be produced if there is sufficient material to be published and this is why we are unable to produce the regular four issues and hence the reduced membership fees. Many of our overseas members are reluctant to offer material as English is not their first language but our editing team can correct grammatical mistakes. We don't need full articles just picture of successes or failures with brief description.

Thanks, Chris, for confirming that. I was wondering whether it was yet another item of post that had got lost.

It was very helpful receiving an email copy - which I have enjoyed reading.

Thanks Dave,

We will continue to do this as we are experiencing delays in the postal and customs system. It's nice to have both copies. The advantage of the Cyber version is you can click on the links .

I have not yet received the electronic version!

Incidentally, when I completed the "contact us" form, submit simply resulted in all fields being returned to blank.

I've just checked again, and found gmail had sent it to the "spam" folder.
