Any new Mirror Drum developments?

Postby McGee2021 » Thu Jan 13, 2022 1:54 pm

I haven't been active on the forum for a good while now, nor have I even visited since the beginning of the pandemic, but I recently acquired a decent reel to reel and around a literal trunk full of 1/4 inch tape, and while fiddling with it and thinking of things to record, I remembered that I was active in the development of the club's 3D printed Baird standard mirror drum replica. I still had a few prints of the original version of the drum, but it was lacking any decent way to mount the mirrors themselves. I hate to admit that I also haven't 3D printed anything since about the same time I became inactive in the club, owing to various responsibilities that come with becoming an adult. But has there been any new development regarding the mirror drum we were pursuing? Any decent way to mount the mirrors, or perhaps new designs of the drum itself since then?
Fun times, ain't it?

Email Dave Gentle or send us a Private message and I will send to him. He did a lot of work on this project.
