The electromagnetic spectrum has no theoretical limit at either end. If all the mass/energy in the Universe is considered a 'limit', then that would be the only real theoretical limit to the maximum frequency attainable.

Actually US$999 isn't so bad for all of what's shown. Though shipping will add to that. But I'm not going to bid. A nice bit of SSTV history to have and preserve, I'd prefer to make my own. But that's me...

I wonder how many people can read those floppy discs today? Very few I suspect. I can't read/write CDs or DVDs anymore and haven't been able to for perhaps five years or more, gone the way of dinosaurs...FAX? Same. Except many UK government institutions still use fax, who said 'dinosaur'?

For example..

https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-46497526

"The NHS will be banned from buying fax machines from next month - and has been told by the government to phase out the machines entirely by 31 March 2020." ...a BBC news article from December 2018. I wonder if that has happened? Is anyone still making and selling fax machines?

I don't know about the NHS, but I recently had to send a form to the DVLA (Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency) and I was given the option of sending it to a fax number. As I do have a fax machine, I did consider doing so, but in the end I put the form in the post.

There you go...we are in the third decade of the 21st century, and the DVLA still are using fax....

I live in what could be termed a 'third world country', except in this respect it's not. Visa, driving license, and whatever else can and is done on-line.

Steve A.

Anyway, enough of that...we're getting away from the subject in hand...probably my fault...
