Oh. I don't have an easy way to test it on older versions of Windows than Windows 7. Unless I installed XP in a VM

The electromagnetic spectrum has no theoretical limit at either end. If all the mass/energy in the Universe is considered a 'limit', then that would be the only real theoretical limit to the maximum frequency attainable.

I'm not really that surprised since I built and tested everything with W7. It usually takes special consideration to support older OSes

Fixed crash when switching from video file to image file
Fixed GTK warnings/errors in console

Independent RGB color gains (I had this implemented but not yet released - that's how I got color on my mechanical monitor)

Version 0.41 released!

This version should fix any issues with the pixbuf loader cache not being found (and warnings and GUI problems resulting therefrom)

It also makes many of the console and pop-up error and warning messages more clear. I also identified and fixed a crash that would occur somewhat randomly when changing GUI settings.

Still plenty of bugs to go and there could be new bugs introduced to feel free to test it out and let me know how this version is working. It has been about 2 years since I touched the code so it was a bit of a pain to work on.

The zip file contains both the source and a Windows installer as before (Windows 7 or newer required)

I have no idea why. It has relatively small changes but certainly shouldn't have a virus. Probably your security software just isn't familiar with this uncommonly used program.

I tried again but instead of extracting the file i just loaded it to the HD from the compressed and that worked fine no virus warning this time ,i have yet to try this new version out but loading well so all good !

HI, downloaded this program but can't make any sense of it, there doesn't seem to be and install or .exe file?
Chris.

Chris, I cannot confirm this. It is possibly anti-malware removing the 'uncommon' and thus unfamiliar .exe file

Apologies if this is stating the obvious, but I assume you have expanded the ZIP file, which (as stated above) contains the following:
