I feel there should be a place to put all the software and or links here or to a thread of its own i was thinking this would be a good place things that may get lost over time .
May be scattered on the forum but not easy to remember it all ...i am still missing here Garys tiny first viewer i would have it on HD somewhere matter of tracking it down as i can't recall its file name

Here's some of Gary's players so they are some where .
I have others i will track down and upload so may reedit here as i find them .

It's worth noting that is the old version of NBSC and it doesn't work on 64 bit systems without patching the executable.
Dom released a fix on the forum thread but I don't remember which one works.

I wanted to add a few programs for designing Nipkow discs that I have collected over the years, even though they are older and may not work on modern systems, before they disappear from the internet.
Viddisc5.exe is a program by Sam Hunt that used to be hosted on Gary's site. It makes simple Nipkow disc patterns that are placed on the clipboard.
DiskDesigner.dmg is a very useful program that only runs on PowerPC Macs. It outputs high quality PDFs that can be printed for large discs.
Note: both programs are in zip files so they could be uploaded to the forum.

Good idea using this to post any thing useful instead of searching from memory least who ever can recall this exists and come here ,even i use this to find something gone missing .
I have windows 10 which i hate so more than likely will not run what you posted but i have older laptops with xp and windows 7 operating systems that don't pretend to be something it isn't !

Hi All, I've made a suggestion to add a Software section to this forum to Andrew and Dave, I hope it will appear in due course...

I suggest holding off uploading any more until it appears, recent posts with NBTV-software related attachments will be moved into the new section..

We (Andrew, Dave and I) will keep an eye out for posts containing malware, viruses and spamware or anything that re-directs users somewhere else...

This section could also hold software that is mentioned in the Newsletter or developed for projects posted on this forum - for example, some I have written in recent times...

However, Andrew and Dave may think it's not such a good idea - with good reason, so I wouldn't say it's a certainty...

I've also suggested making the section, "All posts require approval." I know it's a bit of a pain, but it's better to be safe than sorry...it is a bit of "A red rag to a bull."

Also, uploaders provide the actual software, not links to it as that is open to abuse too...

Steve A.

Just point to the post you want, and a moderator can move it for you -- and leave a "shadow" where it originally was.
