The electromagnetic spectrum has no theoretical limit at either end. If all the mass/energy in the Universe is considered a 'limit', then that would be the only real theoretical limit to the maximum frequency attainable.

We give a toast! To Paul Nipkow and John Logie Baird - the men who saw *A* future - but who, I am sure, would have given up and done something else if they had seen *THE* future!
(and I am not talking about the technical aspects of their inventions there - call me a cynic if you like).
