I don't know much about UK currency living in the USA, but that sounds exciting and hope it moves forward.

The coin reference by Lawnboy is a commemorative 50p due to be circulated by the Royal Mint in 2021, along with one commemorating fifty years since the UK decimalised its currency in July 1971 and (supposedly) one celebrating the 2020 Olympic games - which didn't actually happen owing to COVID-19.
