This is the SHARED picture placeholder thread. Feel free to use this thread for image storage, or create your own personal picture placeholder thread in this 'Off Topic' forum, with the proviso that it is named 'PICTURE PLACEHOLDER ONLY'.

After you have uploaded a picture as an attachment in the 'picture holder' thread, view your message, and right-click on the image you want. Select 'properties' or whatever your browser has that is similar. You should see the actual URL of the image. Copy that URL, and use it inside the img tags in any other message in other forums.

The process, then, would be to first upload all your images to the placeholder thread, note down the URLs of each, then go and create your actual message wherever it goes, using those URLs inline wherever you want them.

Please feel free to reply to this message and in your reply include attachments/images that you would like to refer to in other messages. In particular, if you wish to have images 'embedded' in your messages rather than added as possibly out-of-order attachments at the end of your message, use the img tag. To find the URL of the image you wish to use from this 'placeholder thread', view the message you have dumped here with the attachments, right-click on the attachment image you want, and grab the URL shown when you select 'properties' or similar menu item.

The URL will be something like ... ic_100.jpg -- this can be used directly inside img /img tags in other messages.

This does seem to be a work-around and should be fine. The problem with linking to something like is you're never certain that the images will still be there after a while, or unavailable due to bandwidth restrictions.
