I am building a mini arduino mechanical television ( 4 parts 3D printing )
I would use such a schema (see fig) but don't find the mosfets
Now my question is I can use a BD139 or BS170
I don't use the Mextion Display and the Pam8302 amplifier and sd card reader if is possible
I do own the 3 NBTV floppy disks I would like to use
I have seen such a project on the forum but the schematic and arduino source code was not found (or I have not looked closely)
i am a builder but bad programmer ( a copy builder )
Who can help me please

Kind Regards

I'm surprised you're having trouble finding IRF540s MOSFETs, they're very common amongst component suppliers...if that's the device you mean. It's the only one I can see in the schematic.

You can't use a BD139 as it's a bipolar (junction) transistor, and although the BS170 is a MOSFET, it can't handle the power.

There are many you can substitute for the IRF540, who is your usual supplier and I'll see what they have.

Farnell/Element 14, Belgium, have them in stock at Euro 1.01+VAT for 1-off quantities. (No Euro key on this PC, or GBP (UK pound) either).

You likely could substitute a BJT here because its only driving a motor. Worst case you have to add a second transistor to drive the base if the Arduino can't provide enough base current.

This is my latest mini version (I love drawing and building) derived from the following site https://www.instructables.com/id/A-cardboard-televisor/

Thank you for responding
Sorry I'm wrong formulated I do not find IRF540 in " my junk box "
I fond a IRF 530 in the locale shop , is that oke
Do you know anything about the schema and arduino source code of the project from the picture fig3

The IRF530 handles less current, but it should be more than enough for what looks like a small DC motor.

It's switched/pulsed/PWM so it shouldn't need a heatsink, but have one handy just in case.

I don't code in Arduino so I can't help there - others may be able to.

I hate these sort of schematics, 'drawn' by people who 1) don't know how to draw, 2) are lazy, 3) don't provide much useful information at all 4) are a pain to comprehend 5) and usually contain far too many errors.

An IRF510 handles even less current, but still up to 5.6A. I suggest adding a heatsink at first, and see how warm it gets. If it runs nice and cold you may be able to remove it. But check the temperature of the IRF510 without a heatsink and if it burns your fingers - put the heatsink back!

Well that is very cute and cool! Do you have a youtube channel that we can see this in action?

That is a really good setup. I am new to NBTV and enjoy seeing just what can be made by other members.
